Greenlight Computers selected Sci-Tech Daresbury as our 5th location after many years of networking with businesses in the cluster. The Innovation Centre offers a lovely environment to work in and easy access off the M56 motorway for visitors and staff.

Greenlight Computers at Sci-Tech Daresbury
The Greenlight Computers team at Sci-Tech Daresbury includes two permanent technical staff backed by our full team of 25 staff. A similar model is adopted at several other science parks, and we have ambitions to build on the model across the UK.
With its HQ in Manchester. Greenlight Computers’ expansion plans have been designed to get close to its clients, with other offices in Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst (Hertfordshire), Alderley Park (Cheshire) and at the University of Manchester.
Expansion into Sci-Tech Daresbury was originally planned for 2020 but was curtailed by Covid. However, good things come to those who wait!
Greenlight Computers and sister companies Greenlight Web (Digital Marketing) and Greenlight Telecoms (VoIP solutions) enable the group to offer a “single point of service” for all its clients’ IT requirements.
Having established an initial eight-person office base, the firm is now looking to recruit locally as the business develops over the next few years. The first new member of staff Leah arrived in May 2023 with a 2nd new face in July 23. Our CEO Gary Dodson has chosen Sci-Tech Daresbury as his primary location for the ease of access to the M56/M6 corridor.

The Sci-Tech Daresbury management team offer an incentive for existing tenants to refer suitable new tenants to the park. Rather than accept the £250 on offer Greenlight Computers has decided to plant 500 trees with partner Play it Green as a carbon offset and contribution to our goal of 10,000 trees.
Working Thursday
Greenlight Computers and Greenlight Web staff are together every Thursday at Sci-Tech Daresbury for team meetings and project reviews. As part of our hybrid working staff are always full of energy mid-week as it’s a good chance to meet their colleagues and get away from the kitchen table. The company coffee credit card gets a good beating and its often the most productive day of the week.
