ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system. It can be used by any organization, large or small,
regardless of its field of activity. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a
strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual
improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in ISO’s quality management principles.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the world’s best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

sectors of activity with guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information
security management system.

Conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 means that an organization or business has put in place a system to manage risks
related to the security of data owned or handled by the company, and that this system respects all the best practices
and principles enshrined in this International Standard.

With the Cyber Security landscape ever changing the organisation must demonstrate a continuous improvement
culture to maintain certification to ISO 27001.

Cyber Essentials is an effective, UK Government backed scheme that will helps organisations protect themselves
against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks.

Standard Cyber Essentials is a self-assessment option, if followed it provides protection against a wide variety of the
most common cyber-attacks. This is important because vulnerability to basic attacks can mark you out as target for
more in-depth unwanted attention from cyber criminals and others. Cyber Essentials shows you how to address those
basics and prevent the most common attacks.

Cyber Essentials Plus builds on the basics implemented in Cyber Essentials and is examined by independent body
IASMI to validate and certify the protections are real and functional.

Greenlight Computers has Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and works with clients under our IT support to achieve
the same levels of protection.

GxP training represents a collection of regulations originating in the USA to support safety in the Lab environment.

Greenlight Computers IT support staff providing services to Life Science companies are regularly required to undergo
training from the Quality Assurance department of their GLP (Good Lab Practice) regulated clients. The training is
branded GxP as a support service to the clients.

The regulations relate to different types of companies working in the Life Science arena under the following service
groups:

GMP – Good Manufacturing Practice
GLP – Good Lab Practice
GDP – Good Documentation Practice
GCP – Good Clinical Practice

GxP is used as a term to cover any supporting product or service that could affect the quality and safety of the above
standards. IT is essential in all of these with storage of data, hardware functionality and physical cleanliness as some of
the key areas.

Life Sciences is the primary sector of service for Greenlight Computers Ltd representing over 70% of turnover annually.
We have invested in GxP training for staff since 2012 and we believe we are unique in the UK IT support market in
maintaining this sector focus.
