Project Challenge

• To understand the needs of a regulated early stage business in the Life Sciences sector and guide the management team through using IT to GxP standards to enable the business.
• Establish suitable network infrastructures both in Alderley Park HQ and Runcorn Heath Labs.
• Liaise with 3^rd parties to ensure their systems were catered for in the IT setup.
• Provide that ‘single point of service’ to handle all IT challenges without fuss. IT in plain English.
• Implement the best practice cyber security protections for an early stage business.

Greenlight worked with the Cryoniss team from pre-start, into start-up and ultimately into successful business operations. IT change was a constant as the Cryoniss business strategy adapted to early demand and the availability of suitable premises from which to operate.

Client
Cryoniss are experts in the controlled temperature storage of biological samples, including Human Tissue Act and Good Laboratory and Clinical Practice regulated material.  With internal processes based on the latest scientific data and technologies they provide customers with the guarantee that samples will remain of the highest quality, whether samples are stored, or transported, at: room temperature, +4, -20, -80 or -196 degrees C.

Solution
Greenlight worked with the Cryoniss management team in a consultative way to understand the business strategy and align a suitable IT strategy to enable the business. The solution elements included:

• Procurement and stocking of network switch and WIFI controllers in readiness for go-live.
• Office and user IT setup for Alderley Park HQ site
• Consultation with 3^rd party temperature monitoring provider to design network requirements for the 2^nd lab in Runcorn & liaise with onsite services to implement
• Establish suitable local & online data backup in line with GxP regulations
• Establish UPS power protection & alerting in the event of IT power down issues
• Ongoing, expert and value driven IT managed services to support Cryoniss
