Greenlight support for Education

As a young company Greenlight Computers is bringing fresh thinking and new options to the development of school and college ICT support. Within the business we have a wealth of Educational experience & commitment including: school & college governors, former corporate head of Education, teachers & learners. We specialise in supporting businesses too small to have a dedicated IT department but dependent on their IT to delivery their objectives effectively. Our clients get the support of locally based nominated technicians who work inside a 10 mile radius of their own home. This ensures we are flexible, responsive, cost effective and environmentally friendly. You benefit by having highly skilled technicians who become familiar with your IT and by being close can respond swiftly. Overlaying this local approach with our educational experience & networks and an excellent knowledge of future technologies we believe we can offer a sustainable quality ICT support service for local schools & colleges.

Our objective

Is to provide a new alternative to the support and development of ICT in our schools and colleges as part of a local community support approach.

Our principles of ICT support

Our ICT service model for Educational support is founded on five basic principles:

  1. ESSENTIAL SKILLS - school & college ICT should be fit for purpose and functional at all times to allow every child maximum access to learn & build skills essential to 21st century life.
  2. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - ICT can and should be used as a weapon against parental & community dis-engagement in the process of educating children.
  3. TEACHING FEARS - a modern ICT support strategy must ensure that the teaching staff skill levels maintain pace with those of the children.
  4. BEST VALUE - the vast majority of educational establishments operate below critical mass for both ICT products & services, to achieve best value we must create shared services & utilise best practice where possible.
  5. CONTINUOUS PERSONAL SUPPORT - in enabling children's learning through the education system we will always attempt to improve ICT support through the full school chain nursery-primary-secondary-FE-HE.
